Personal healthcare is indeed very important and should always be a concern for people. Unfortunately, this crucial issue was taken for granted until the recent Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreaks all around the world that makes people becoming extra alert towards healthcare and hygiene matters.
Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a new strain which was never identified and it spreads from one individual to another through breathing drops or touch. Currently in Malaysia there is a total of 790 cases which includes 117 new cases, 728 cases actively being treated, 60 cured and 2 deaths making Malaysia the highest infected in South East Asia as of 18 March 2020. Thus, prevention measure needs to take place to prevent the virus from spreading more.

However, the people should always remain calm and do not panic despite the critical situation. What we can do is keep a social distance from individual with fever, coughing and sneezing. Always wash your hands using soap or hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth constantly. Avoid visiting outbreak country like China.
Other than that, the infected individuals should also be mindful of others by wearing face mask, coughing or sneezing into a tissue and throwing the tissue into trash can after using and always take care of your cleanliness.

Seeing how the virus is easily being spread by coughing, sneezing, touch and in contact with infected surface, it is advisable for everyone to stay at home through the lockdown period from 18 March to 31 March 2020 until further notice. Please help other people to not spread the virus.
Moreover, other crucial preventive measures were also taken by the minister by ordering few sectors to be closed temporary including business premises except for supermarkets, public markets, convenience stores, shops selling necessities and other essential services business like water, electricity, energy, telecommunications, transport, broadcasting, finance, security and health. Educational institution was also ordered to shut down includes kindergartens, primary and secondary government and private schools, public and private higher education institutions and skills-training institution. This measure is taken to avoid mass gathering that could increase the dispersion of the virus, hence any gatherings in public places like religious house was also prohibited.
Therefore, if you or your family member is experiencing symptoms like fever, coughing and having difficulty to breath, do visit the nearest hospital as soon as you can to get treatment. Taking things seriously, City University also issued a notice of a two-weeks break from class including online class to honour the Prime Minister’s dictation.
