Rising Above Others, City University of Malaysia Is Awarded In The Malaysia Rating For University And University College Excellence SETARA-2017.


City University of Malaysia received an accreditation as a full fledged university last December 2016, competing with other pioneer universities of the industry in SETARA-2017 rating recently.


Participating for the first time, City University of Malaysia is proud to announce on the achievement received by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) rated as a Very Good (4-Star) university in the last Malaysia Rating for University and University College Excellence SETARA-2017.


Striving for outstanding, City University of Malaysia, Executive Director, Yang Berbahagia Datin Rohaidah Shaari uttered, “I am extremely proud and excited, I believe this is just a beginning of the achievement towards City University’s vision and mission. We have come a long way from a community college and now a full fledged university. City University constantly endeavours to succeed with the aim to be one of top Higher Education provider in the industry”.


SETARA-2017 rating is an integrated approach aligned with Malaysian Education Blueprint in Higher Learning Education 2015-2025 focusing on 3 scope of aspect which are Teaching & Learning, Research & Innovation and Services to Community & Industry.


Added to that Prof. Ir. Dr. Noridah Ibrahim, Vice Chancellor of City University of Malaysia, said “We took these opportunities as a platform in proving that we are indeed aiming on providing the holistic quality education which ensures that City University’s students are well equipped in embarking on career journey and are in demand across the industries supported by excellent experienced academicians in providing quality and holistic education”.


Total of 105 universities and colleges participated in SETARA-2017 rating, only 71 were worthy to be evaluated and 58 universities and colleges were awarded 4-Star rating above in the Malaysia Rating for University and University College Excellence SETARA-2017.
