Programme Description
The objective of the Diploma in Architectural Technology is basically to meet the increasing need for sub-professionals and professionals in the building industries. The programme will expose students to the basic of art and science of design through an understanding of conceptual design. Key features of this programme include principles of design, construction and materials, environmental science, theory and history of architecture and building services. It also provides comprehensive lectures, tutorials,assignments, projects and studios to equip graduates with the ability to design imaginative and functional buildings for the community. Graduates of this programme can be employed as technical executives, assistants in architectural firms and in relevant government departments and construction works.
Entry Requirements
- Passed SPM / SPMV / GCE O-Level with minimum 3 credits which includes Mathematics; OR
- Have Level 3 Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) in related field and passed SPM with at least 1 credit; OR
- Other qualifications recognised as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia AND passed Art Subject OR passed
- portfolio test for those who have not taken Arts Subject

Programme Description
The objective of the Diploma in Civil Engineering is to produce proactive technicians with the technical know-how and capable of solving problems posed by a complex and rapidly changing technical environment. Key features of this programme include comprehensive lectures, tutorials, assignments, projects, laboratory work and a four month Industrial attachment which aims to equip graduates with the ability to design cost-effective and environmentally friendly engineering structures. Areas of study include: Engineering Construction and Materials, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Survey, Theory of Structure and Structural Design, Water Supply and Wastewater Engineering, Contract procedures and Estimation, Computer Application and Construction Management. Future prospects with this qualification include site supervisor, site work, surveying, building maintenance, roads, drainage and irrigation.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN)

Programme Description
This programme is designed to produce architectural designers and train students in developing designs of buildings, develop construction details, and investigate different materials for construction and to produce sketches and drawings. It prepares students to be proficient in the 21st century technologies which requires them to manage all phases of professional practice in an architectural environment. Students will be taught the required skills in order to be able to analyse building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements with other technical documents and reports used in construction planning. Students will be familiar with all the up-to-date architectural office terminology, practices and procedures, including computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) techniques. Studio work gives students an opportunity to develop their own ideas and creative talents through participation in architectural projects from inception to final presentation drawings and the construction of models. Upon graduation, students will be well equipped to be a part of an architectural design team in a broad range of planning and construction coordination roles. The emphasis on the practice, designs and research link, provides an exposure to industry – relevant design projects to generate the development of creative and rational thinking in the architectural field, as an architecture learning process.
Entry Requirements
- Passed STPM / A-Level with minimum full passed in 2 subjects which includes Mathematics; OR
- Passed Matriculation in related field recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) with minimum CGPA 2.00; OR
- Diploma in related field from recognised institutions by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE) with minimum CGPA 2.00; OR
- Other qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
